Amazon mentioned Thursday John Felton, the corporate’s prime logistics government, will take over as chief monetary officer of its AWS cloud computing unit.
In a blog post, Doug Herrington, Amazon’s worldwide retail chief, mentioned Felton would tackle a new position as senior vp and Amazon Web Services CFO. Udit Madan, Amazon’s vp of transportation, will substitute Felton.
Felton has been with Amazon for practically 20 years, most lately serving as the head of its worldwide operations division. He’s a member of Amazon CEO Andy Jassy’s s-team, which is a tight-knit group of senior executives from nearly all areas of Amazon’s enterprise.
“It has been a terrific run and a time that I’ll cherish with satisfaction,” Felton wrote in a memo to employees. “Good information is that I’m not going far and am excited to share lots of the abilities I realized from you all in Operations with the AWS workforce.”
Felton will substitute AWS’ present CFO Richard Puccio. The Wall Street Journal reported Puccio intends to depart the corporate, citing folks accustomed to the matter. An Amazon spokesperson did not instantly reply to a request for remark.
The management shakeup comes as AWS’ progress fee has slowed in latest quarters as some shoppers pulled again their spending resulting from excessive inflation and broader considerations concerning the economic system.
