TikTook cuts about 60 jobs as January layoffs continue across tech industry


TikTook Music has launched on Wednesday in Australia, Singapore and Mexico to a small group of customers.

TikTook has lower about 60 jobs, CNBC confirmed, the newest tech firm to downsize at the beginning of 2024.

An organization spokesperson mentioned all of those that have been laid off “might apply to any open inside roles, of which there are over 120 comparable roles posted at the moment.”

The job cuts have been first reported on Monday night by NPR. The ByteDance division characterised the layoffs to NPR as a part of a routine reorganization that affected employees in gross sales and promoting employees who labored within the Los Angeles, New York, and Austin, Texas workplaces, as effectively as different world outposts.
