Hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman and his wife Neri Oxman are shopping for a nearly 5% stake in the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, the alternate reported in a press launch Wednesday.

The announcement got here because the Israeli bourse introduced the pricing of a secondary providing of 17,156,677 shares priced at 20.60 shekels ($5.50) per share.

“The transaction drew strong curiosity from buyers throughout Israel, the United States, Europe, and Australia, reflecting a powerful vote of confidence in each the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and the Israeli economic system at giant,” the assertion learn. 

“Among the outstanding patrons had been Neri Oxman and Bill Ackman who’ve agreed to buy roughly a 4.9% fairness stake in the TASE.”

Ackman, the CEO and founding father of New York-based Pershing Square Capital Management, has been a vocal supporter of Israel for the reason that Oct. 7 Hamas terror assault on the nation that triggered an Israeli floor invasion of the Gaza Strip. His wife, Neri Oxman, is an American-Israeli designer and professor.
