In a rare international appearance because the conflict in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed a stay viewers at the third Belt and Road forum in Beijing Wednesday.
In the opening ceremony speech, Putin invited different international locations to take part in the event of the Northern Sea Route. The assembly marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) summit.
Speaking to 1,000 delegates represented by over 130 international locations, Putin mentioned he agreed with Chinese President Xi Jinping that the Belt and Road thought “folds logically inside multilateral efforts” to extend world cooperation.

The Northern Sea Route is a 3,480 mile-long transport route between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans which runs from the entrances of Novaya Zemiya straits in the west alongside the Russian Arctic Coast above Siberia.
“Russia is the largest nation in the world,” Putin mentioned. “That is why the connectivity of all of the companions is related for the relations between the companions.”
Russia has a complete space of 17,098,242 km², the largest in the world.
The profitable growth of the NSR “would probably make Russia vital to world commerce and communications between Asia and Europe,” in response to an evaluation by Foreign Policy.
