Delta lays off some corporate workers to cut costs

Delta Air Lines is slicing some corporate jobs in an effort to cut costs because the business grapples with increased bills resembling for gasoline and labor.

“While we’re not but again to full capability, now’s the time to make changes to packages, budgets and organizational buildings throughout Delta to meet our said objectives — one a part of this effort contains changes to corporate staffing in help of those adjustments,” Delta mentioned in an announcement to CNBC. “These selections are by no means made calmly however all the time with care and respect for our impacted crew members and the Delta household.”

Delta did not specify what number of jobs it’s slicing and mentioned they don’t have an effect on frontline workers like pilots or flight attendants.
