A researcher in Cyprus has found a pressure of the coronavirus that combines the delta and omicron variant, Bloomberg News reported on Saturday.

Leondios Kostrikis, professor of organic sciences on the University of Cyprus, referred to as the pressure “deltacron,” due to its omicron-like genetic signatures throughout the delta genomes, Bloomberg mentioned.

So far, Kostrikis and his staff have discovered 25 instances of the virus, in line with the report. It’s nonetheless too early to inform whether or not there are extra instances of the pressure or what impacts it may have.
