President Joe Biden in a televised address Thursday night disputed a special counsel’s claims that he willfully retained categorised materials at his Delaware residence, and that he exhibited poor memory throughout an investigation of that materials.

“My memory has not gotten worse,” Biden instructed reporters hours after the discharge of special counsel Robert Hurt’s report. “My memory is effective.”

Biden additionally stated, “I’ve seen the headlines because the report was launched about my willful retention of paperwork. This these assertions not solely deceptive, they’re simply plain mistaken.”

Hur’s report did say Biden willfully retained the categorised paperwork.

But Biden famous that Hur elsewhere in the identical report wrote “there is in truth a scarcity of proof” that the president willfully retained categorised materials associated to Afghanistan.
